How to get videos shared?

I don't know that there's one right answer. Ultimately it comes down to how engaging the video is. I look at what gets shared multiple times on Facebook and the only common thread on highly shared vidoes that I can see is that there all entertaining. Doesn't have to be high production value. It just needs to be a super engaging video to go viral. Think of something like Charlie bit my finger. No production value, no intro's, no outro's, no calls to action. Just a clip that happened to be incredibly funny. I think it's hard to manufacture viral. It just happens when you have that great moment captured on video.

I'm in a bit of different niche to everyone else here I think, but for a football animation I made, I tweeted it (individually) to lots of different football related twitter accounts - these were fanpages, sports reporters, blogs, and just people who had a decent amount of followers. I did it a none-spammy way, more of a conversational way, included the video, and some of them retweeted it.

It depends what your video is about really, who is likely to retweet it. There have been videos I've filmed which have been a story, and then it's difficult to target specific twitter accounts! I found a (slightly cheeky) method was that at the end of one of my stories, during the credits, I left the "actors" talking to each other and dropped in "Maybe if we get enough likes or comments, they'll make another episode..." and I've had 881 likes on that video to date - possibly encouraged by that! That's not a tactic that will work for everyone (I'd imagine for vloggers it might just come across as "needy" if you say "give me likes and I'll make another one!") but maybe there's a variation on it that could be sneaked in!

My first strategy was to threaten my audience if they did not share my videos. Then I moved on to begging the audience with minimal improvement. I wonder if I would have gotten better results if I switched the order of my tactics?

I think what I found was targeting people in the industry who weren't the top-top stars was more effective - so tweeting a sports-reporters personal twitter account which still had a good number of followers had a greater level of success than tweeting top footballers or the actual football club. So I guess that's a to tip that is transferable to other subject-matters :)

Yes, you're right about using hashtags for not-too-popular subjects or people is more effective then using #Messi #Iphone .

But you actually got content which is worth sharing, so your stuff got shared more than the average video you find on here and on Youtube :). So it will be even more effective.... :D

do contest/give aways. tell your audience to share your video, like your facebook page etc, and everyone who follows your instructions will have their name entered in the drawing.

Shareable videos are usually outrageous in manner. They are something that you just have to show other people.

I Mean Them Videos Will Grow Slowly Or Quickly Depends On How Quickly People Have Watch It And Share It With There Friends And So On, You WIll Find It Will Pick Up But Just Might Make Some Time. :)
