How to Get the Courage to Play Horror / Scary Games?

Do you like to play horror/scary games?

Can you share how you have the courage to play them lol.

My friend just bought me Alien isolation and expects me to record while playing .

I'm Ok with Killing zombies but horror games like this... Give me weak hands lol.

I can choose not to play it, but it would be a waste (on steam)

I need encouragement and advice here

scary games are not scary, always remember that they're not real. its just a game dont let it control you.

No matter how scary the game is at first you'll eventually grow numb to it.
That's how I rationalize playing them, they won't be scary and I'll enjoy the experience afterwards when I can appreciate it.

I'm terrified of horror games, so I usually try to go for those more casual ones, like those w/ humor in them.
