How to get the Channel Playlist next to your vids!

With the new layout for Youtube comes some useful changes. One them is that the playlist a video is part of will now be displayed right next to the video, making it a lot easier for viewers to go to your next episode.

Note that this only works for custom links, the playlist still won't appear if people find your vid through a search or the subscription list. But it is very useful when placing links on external websites or to use with annotations.

1. Make sure your videos are neatly organized in a playlist. Make sure the order of the video's is correct.

2. Go to your playlist page and in the URL find the ID for your playlist. It will look something like this:

Code:
list=PL4N4DFtLb_f1Q1yhjZLOAL6qk4FxxXB34

3. When pasting a link somewhere or making an annotation, make sure you use a regular link like:

Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcebrkANNM4

4. Then after that add an & symbol and copy the list ID you found earlier, including the 'list='.

Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcebrkANNM4&list=PL4N4DFtLb_f1Q1yhjZLOAL6qk4FxxXB34

5. The linked video will now have a playlist next to it, making it very easy for your viewers to find the next or previous episodes on your series.

Enjoy!
