How to get an approval for commercial use?

So, I used a song which is tagged with non-commercial creative commons license.
The song title: The Crime - Project 46 (3LAU Remix).
What do I need to write to the author(3LAU in this case) to get his approval, what do you recommend?
And actually what do I need to prove to Youtube, that I own the rights to the song? A written signature?

Never met anyone who knew who 3LAU was! Woo! Been supporting that guy since practically the beginning.

Sorry I don't know how to answer the question, just got excited xD

@KGATV Do you have anything on the soundcloud or some other site? Would love to check it out.
And I would still like to know the answer to my original question in this thread haha

If he uses soundcloud, there should be a contact me button, otherwise there might be the contact info for his record label, manager etc. Just ask nicely and you never know.

Sadly that's just 5 of my many mixes I've made. My old sound cloud got terminated due to too many copyright stuff (hehe whoops). I had 100k+ plays, and 1k+ downloads on that account too :banghead:

I would upload more, but I recently lost all my mixes when my laptop got fried. Lost all of them :(

I haven't really mixed in a while. I used to do it weekly. I should probably get back into it haha.

If he is signed to a label you need to contact them, him giving you permission don't mean s**t if he's with a label. Oh and good luck getting a music label to give you permission, have fun.
