How to edit gameplay into the smallest file size in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0

I know that it's an old program but I was using a newer version but lost it after my computer crashed. I edit HD gameplays with commentaries but the files come out in 2 GB for only 10 minutes of gameplay and I was wondering if there were some tips that would help me lower the file size and maintain the HD quality. The video files themselves are only about 600 MB but when I add the audio and render it, I get 2 GB and it takes forever to upload onto YT with my connection. Also, could it be the audio that is increasing the file size so much? Would an audio compressor do anything? Sorry for so many questions but I would like to figure this out. Please and thank you!

Sounds like maybe you're outputting to AVI, possibly using some kind of lossless codec?
When rendering the video go for mp4 format, using h.264 codec if possible. And no the audio is much smaller than the video.

Other than those general ideas I can't be sure what else to say without seeing your settings in detail (plus I don't personally use Premiere).

Yeah Premiere Pro 2.0 doesn't use the h.264 codec but I might be able to output to mp4. I will have to try that. Thanks for the help
