Hi guys, now making a YouTube channel can be very hard, with one of the hardest steps being your name. By now, you've probably spent hours banging your head on the table, hoping for a great name to pop into your head, but have had no luck. Fortunately for you, I am here to guide you into picking a catchy and effective name!
1. Find a word which describes your personality which is catchy. Mine is Shark as that is my nickname.
2. Incorporate a word which your channel is going to be based on. Don't include words like gaming as you may want to upload different content.
3. Make sure your name is short and snappy with few syllables. You don't want a name like:
JohnWhoIsGoingToPlayGamesForYouGuys as no one is going to remember it.
4.Go on random word generators to see if there any cool-sounding words which you think would be appropriate in your name.
5.Dont add any numbers to your name. Unless it describes your personality, adding numbers can make your channel look like you've taken a long time to see if you can find an available username.
6. When making your initial Google account, if a username is taken, it doesn't necessarily mean that there is a YouTube channel with that name. A yt channel is made after a Google account is made.
7. Never make your name sound like any other channels. The whole point is that your channel must be unique and high up in the search results.
