How to create an outro?

All right, I'm pretty sure this is not the right place to ask this, but I don't know where exactly to do so. Point me in the right direction if this is frowned upon.

Anyway, I want to create an outro myself. I know how to work in Adobe Flash and After Effects and I want to create an outro myself. However, I'm not too sure how that outro should look. Is it okay to ask people to like and subscribe? Should I also add what other content someone may find on my channel? Should I put a preview for next video?
 
The style of your outro is completly up to you.
Preview for Next Video or a snip of the Previous one, or no video at all.
Asking for a like or comment, sub button.
Having a style you like.

You can't really go wrong, well unless all you do is say SUB SUB SUB, and its really ugly. But heh, you'll do fine.
 
I created our end card using PowerPoint, lol. It has some decent graphic capabilities.

The top left plays a little extra clip from the episode you just watched, something kinda silly or fun.

Top right has our logo and a subscribe button.

Bottom left links to our Facebook page and blog.

Bottom right plays a (silent) sort of trailer from the previous episode (and links to it). I try to use clips that have action and smiles in them.

Then I put the image into my editor (I use Adobe Premiere Elements 11), and scale the two video clips to the appropriate sizes for the boxes I made.

I agree with @TheDoctor_13 as for finding your own style and not just a lame SUB SUB SUB message. Good luck!
 
I just fade to black myself. If have played with the idea of adding links to the previous videos, but I figure that people would go there themselves if they liked my stuff. Same with subscribing and liking. I sometimes say it at the end of my videos, but not all the time.
 
Thanks for the replies guys, I really appreciate it. I think I'll try to re-create something I already have now just make look a little nicer.
