How to ask for higher rev share

What's your current revenue share?

I wouldn't beg for higher revenue share, I'd just ask for it. Network is making money off of your channel, not the other way around. If they aren't able to offer a decent revenue share, finding another network is relatively easy.

It really depends on what they are offering you, and if you think it is worth the percentage they are taking. If you like what your current network is offering, and wish to keep that relationship with them, and just have the revenue share upgraded - what I would do is try to see if they can match the revenue share for you. (e.g - "Network A is offering me X%, may you match it for me?"). In some cases, they do match revenue shares - it does depend on the network as well.

For instance, I've seen some networks that will match the UnionForGamers/Curse revenue share (which is 90%), if it means you are planning to continue your partnership with them. This is, of course, upon the partner's request.

However, If you don't like what your current network is offering you or they do not upgrade/or match your revenue share, then it's basically a creator market out there. Lots of networks to choose from, that are offering decent revenue shares.

Ask nicely. Be polite. Say please and thank you.

And beg. Get on your knees if you have to. Cry. Sob. Make up lies about why you need the money. Pray?

Haha yeah i was gonna have a poll "should i - Threaten, beg, be polite, demand"

Thanks for the advice, yeah i was thinking about joining curse or omniamedia, who've said they'd give me 90%, so i guess i could mention that if they say no on the first email

I'd recommend evaluating what your current MCN is doing for you, and decide whether you really need to continue being in their network.

If you have a big channel (100k+ views daily), throw the kindness out of the window and be demanding.

Your manager is taught to give you canned answers hoping to keep milking your revenue as much as possible, but if you threaten to leave the network in the end they will surrender as for them it's easy money without doing any particular effort on their end. I was able to obtain a 5% contract with a x,xxx$ signing bonus after some back and forth through email (at the time I was raking in 300k+ views daily in the kids niche).

How does one go about asking for more monaayy?

Contract is coming up so i'm looking for a higher rev share

Try contacting your network to ask for an increase if you are growing well, and you seem applicable for one! Generally some networks do have set requirements such as a set views per day to get the increase, but some networks do it on the basis if you grow. Asking them wont hurt, and is worth a shot!

(All opinions are my own)

Good Luck!
