Hey all. I just want some quick help on how to achieve a specific type of video editing technique. I don't know how to accomplish it or what its called, so the help would be very much a appreciated. An image is worth a thousand words, so I'll just post a pic of what I want rather than I confuse you any further:

There are several ways you could do this. You could see the yellow as a background with the center video as the PIP (picture in picture) overlay. You can also see the video as the main thread and the two side bars as overlays. You can fashion these bars yourself in photoshop (or paint) and add them as a PIP. Or you can use preset overlays that your editing program might have (Filmora has quite a few of them, don't know about other programs).
