How often are you allowed to use ad breaks?

It doesn't give a limit when I'm editing them, but I'm not sure if you are supposed to not go over like 2 or something.. lol

A channel I watch have like 4 of them in some 25+ minute long videos.

If you have a video over 10 minutes long, I believe that you can give YouTube permission to play a mid-roll ad every 7 minutes.

Even if you put dozens of them, it will only show an ad (if there is one available) once every 7 minutes.
