how many channels does youtube allow you ?

hi ! i have some ideas about youtube channels.
i want to start a gaming channel
a how to channel
and a vlog channel
maybe one sport channel (soccer tricks)

all videos would be 100% original content from me but does youtube allows so many channels from 1 person ?
 
Yes. I don't think there is a limit. You can create multiple channels from one e-mail address. I have owned 11 channels since 2008.
 
There is no limit I am sure. But there is a limit to what you can personally handle without neglecting a channel. I just started my DashCam channel to streamline my main channel and to appeal to those that just want to watch "bad driving" videos without having to "deal" with CarVlog & Carshow videos. I think I could handle a 3rd channel if I ever had a need for one. But for now 2 is it.
 
My advice if you are starting out: Make all of them channels if you want to. But only start off posting videos to one. As you build your audience add more channels.

But I think some of those can really go together in one channel
Splitting channels can be good but not when its not needed
 
There is indeed no limit, but creating a lot of channels consumes a lot of time. You can better make one channel with good original content, than 4 with less quality content. I would suggest starting with 2: howto and gaming or soccer. This way you can concentrate and continue to spend more time with the channel that does best.
 
Hmm I never knew that. Technically thanks to Google+ I have two channels, but I never really use that Google+ one...

See what works for you. My channel used to be just about the game review show, with some lets play videos in between so the channel won't be dead in the time it takes to edit and make another review episode.

Now it kinda evolved into sort of a 'all things geeky' channel, mixed with game reviews, comics reviews, movie reviews, Nerd Block unboxings and so forth. So I guess see what works with you. Do you want several channels, each focusing on different things, or one mega channel?
