How Long Should Your Video Be?

I've Got It
So as a new youtuber i've been told many Different lengths you should have your video's ranging anywhere from 5 - 20 mins i would like to know what everyone thinks is the best time for a gaming channel i seem to be having my best luck around 7 mins so i ask you what seem's to be working for you?
 
For someone just starting out I recommend as short as possible. Not only will that be appealing to someone just checking you out but it helps refine the old editing skills.

For gaming, I think around ten minutes is a good mark to aim for. As you grow the video length can increase but I would still keep it on the shorter side of the scale.

According to YT, it needs to be as long as it needs to be to get your message across.
A good tip is to look at what's common and popular in your category.
We have everything from 4 to 20+ minutes. Length doesn't really matter, it's total view time and session time.
Use lots of jump or transition cuts to get rid of anything boring and slow to make it interesting and snappy, that's the best advice I can give for video #1.

i agree i've been trying to hit 10 mins but i don't know i get bored of my video and i know other people will be as well so that's why i lower the time down to about 6-7 but i will start to try and make them longer[DOUBLEPOST=1472292568,1472292488][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thank you i really like that advise i will start to make more cuts to make it more enjoyable for the viewers and its nice to know that it doesn't really matter how long the video's are as long as they are good[DOUBLEPOST=1472292612][/DOUBLEPOST]
