how is US income tax handled?

Hi. I started monetizing this January 2015 and I have never filed for taxes before because I've never really had a real job. Can someone please describe to me exactly how and when I have to pay taxes for YouTube ?
 
You'll owe the government money when you file your taxes I believe as I don't think any are taken out now. I'm sure others can help you out more than I, but I'd recommend saving your receipts and when the time comes you'll want to see a tax professional.
 
In January you'll receive a 1099-Misc form from Google.

Use that to file your taxes before April 15th.

It's a standard income form that any accountant (or online income tax site) can help you with.
