How is this possible when video has no tags yet getting tons of views?

One of my videos has now gotten 25,000 views (98% of my vids only get less than 100 views). I posted this video 7 months ago and it has NO description and no tags yet getting tons of views. Is this normal for a video that has no tags at all? My channel is small.. I have about 160 subs. Would adding tags to that video now be a mistake? Thanks.
 
Dont change anything now. Titles, description, tags, thumbnail, etc. Once you change anything, the video will be scanned again by youtubes algorithm, and could potentially stop all your current traffic.
You should probably check analytics to see where the traffic is coming from.

Is the video on a very specific topic? Like a tech review or something? If its not a very popular/well-known product, you may be ranking on the first page of the search results (and if you changed anything in your description you could remove it from the first page).
 
Your video can be indexed by the title, transcription and audience retention. It can even have some authenticity based on the comments.
 
Sounds a bit crazy:) I would like to see that video too so if it´s ok to post a link it would be great or maybe you could tell us what to search for???:) I did not know that a video could be indexed by transcription and audience retention so that is news to me.
 
My biggest video has awful tags but I do not touch it.

If you have a vid that is doing great - just leave it well alone! And congrats! You just need to get another!
 
Great ok well I am STUPID. I wish I had seen the replies in this thread before touching that video!!! Oh no!!! :( I edited the description but then removed what I put there and edited it again but I did add and left an end screen (video still has no tags and has never had any tags at all)... you know that END SCREEN AND ANNOTATIONS section where you can add an end screen (I added an end screen to the video 2 days ago). OMG I'm an idiot. The video got 500 views today when normally it would have gotten at least 1,000+ views a day. What should I do now??? Delete the END SCREEN I added to it??

Shoot =( I'm so sad.. I need all the traffic I can get... did I just ruin the video's traffic?

Analytics says 64% of traffic is coming from suggested videos.. should I un-do the edit I did on the video 2 days ago to put it back the way it as? There is an "end screen" I added and one pointless sentence into the description. I'm feeling very stupid![DOUBLEPOST=1507164685][/DOUBLEPOST]Actually I think I was wrong... it looks like maybe my edit didn't ruin the video?? ..because it says that video got 11,173 views past 30 days so that averages to about 400 views a day... I really need to start uploading my new content because I feel like I'm wasting precious time.... so I'm going to start doing that tomorrow...
