How has TotalBiscuit moved to america

There are quite a few ways to get a visa there, For starters he has an American wife which really helps with the whole situation plus monetary wise, he isn't doing too bad and even when he applied would have been making a decent sum.

Well I'm guessing the US immigration officials realised he'll be totally self sufficient, he already has a well-paid job, doesn't need welfare, won't be drain to American society or the economy. On the contrary, he'll be paying a lot in taxes and spending his $$ in America.

Well he does have a job... YouTube...

Yeah but when i read about it the employer needs to pay $5k to vouch for them or whatever. Also i thought you needed to invest $500k in a crappy business to be able to live there, also how does one get a wife without living there, i mean do you have to be an illegal before you can be legal?

He doesn't have an employer. He runs his own business. I'm guessing he has been given an "E2 Investor Visa" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-2_visa) which is valid for 5 years and is renewed if the business continues to be successful. He easily meets all the requirements for that.

I don't know the specifics, but I know he has green card. He showed it on the TGS podcast one time. I also know he went through all kinds of issues when he was trying move here.

So the millions of Mexicans coming in is due to $50 an hour toilet scrubbing jobs? Not really related to TotalBiscuit, but immigration for Mexicans is "Come on in, buddy!" and for everyone else it's a pain in the a**.

There's quite a few ways to get permanent residency in the US.

You can visit the the US for 3 months at a time without a visa if your country is in the VWP :tonguecute:

Well I nearly married a dutchman. I met him while he was here on a student visa, and he then came back on an H1B visa. However he had visited the US quite a number of times before on just a tourist visa as well. Easy enough to meet, and marry someone from here.
