How good is Lightworks

I never used it myself, but I heard very mixed opinions. From saying its great professional editor for free, to some saying no, but not a lot of explanation. You could probably find results in the search bar.
 
I used it a lot and yes it is a very professional editing software:
Pro's:
  • Professional
  • Many effects you won't even need for normal videos

Con's:
  • Not easy to use (at least at first)
  • You can't let text appear in your videos. If you want to have text, you need to put an image of the text with transparent background into the video instead.
  • You have to get used to everything
In the end, I switched to Magix Video Pro X5, it's simpler and more easy to use with the same features :P
But if you want to use Lightworks, I advice you: Play around a lot with the program at first before you start to edit seriously, otherwise you can easily destroy your whole project, this can be very frustrating, trust me ;) :(
