How early is too early to monetize videos?

Just want to get everyones opinion on this cause I'm sure we all work hard and want some return but you don't want to turn away potential subscribers. What is your view on the matter?

Well for me, I personally monetize my videos right after I upload them. Most videos have ads now-a-days so people should be used to them. Plus... not most ads play every time.

I don't think you can be too early. everyone is monetizing nowadays. I started a tube a month ago and I monetized my very first video

Monetized since day one. If I provide content for the platform and the platform offers a split in add revenue I am going to take it! And if your content is great people will come. If it isn't, well, you end up with 4K subscribers after about 4 years. Hobbyzoned.

I too monetize on day one. Anyone can volunteer but not everyone can get paid. If your content is that bad, then you volunteer until you get enough content online. If you are really good, you charge right out the door.

It's impossible to know when a video is going to hit. Meaning it could be a really popular one. I monetise for that reason but I've been thinking about removing monetisation. Reason being I typically get around 25-30 views a video which is pretty much nothing in revenue. Why annoy subs and viewers with ads when you get nothing in return?

'Cause sod's law as soon as you demonetise you'll get big xD
