How does one make a channel trailer?

I'm slightly confused as to what to do, so I was wondering if any of you guys could suggest ways to make a channel trailer. I'm thinking of having one soon
 
You really just do whatever you want with it, something that shows off what your channel does, and makes people want to join :)
 
Are you asking what programs to use? If so, most professional GFX designers use Cinema 4D. Just keep it short, people don't like long (10 second+) intros.
 
Hi! Great videos! Keep it up! I myself am in a group on youtube and everyone left me by myself for a week and I got tired of not having a channel trailer. I just used a pretty s**t Mac laptop using iMovie and it came out very well if I do say so myself. You can check that out if you really want to, but I do suggest iMovie. It may not be original but its very simple and you can do a lot of stuff with it
 
Yes, I am SO CONFUSED about how to proceed with this. I can't really use highlight footage because I'm a vlogger and all of my content is just spoken word really. So I'm trying to come up with a quick 45 second little blurb about what I do that at least attempts to be funny/persuasive.
 
I think it's a well defined video that should be giving you the views and attraction you need.
you want your trailer to be edited well if you are a commentator, do the trailer on all the games you've done before. maybe a collection of your funniest moments. that's great for attention.
