I've been running ads on my channel for some time now, I'm curious as to how exactly I get paid? Like how much of an ad does someone need to watch for me to get paid? Or do they need to click on it?
Google don't pay via PayPal unfortunately.Ads work differently. Some work on clicks and others watches. The amount you get per ad is also different. When you accumulate $100 from ads, youtube will send you a check or deposit it to paypal at a certain time of the month.
Each ad is different. Some will pay a small sum even if skipped. The longer the ad, and the more that is watched will equal more revenue.ok but HOW LONG do people need to watch the in stream video ads for me to get paid
I'll answer you with a question. Say you own Youtube and you could promote either; A) a video that makes you no money, or B) a video that will bring in lots of money. What would you do? So yes, I believe that ads do increase your visibility in search engines. Can I ask if it's true that enabling ads on your videos is likely to boost view counts? I've read this in a few places and wondered if it;s accurate. I've been holding off on advertising until I've built more of a base.

No problem, You can set it so its just overlay ads and not In video. That way there is no 30 second ad before the video.Darn it, I guess I did know that really. Just don't want to incovinience viewers. Thanks for the reply.
