How does Complilation Channels get partnered? I don't get it?

How do they now make money when previously, nearly every video us to get taken down. Did I miss something in my absense?

Like channels like ReadyArmy and FailArmy and quite a few channels even smaller complilation chanels that use other people's clips and just use them as countdowns and put a intro and outro on the video and monitize. Just 6 months ago youtube was clamping down and that's when I made my exit because I believed it was the fall of content creator freedom.

What have I missed here guys?

Fail Army is part of Jukin Media which is a clip licensing/ distribution company.

Which means they buy and hold the exclusive worldwide licence to the clip from the original rights holder and then sub-license it (non-exclusive) to things like news shows, channels etc.
Jukin of course can use their own clips for free but there's nothing stopping any channel from buying a license from them to that clip also.

Same goes for the other channels, they likely license the clips from companies like Jukin, ViralSpiral is another similar company.

How much does it cost to get these clips as is it possible to partner with them on the grounds of only using their clips... It seems interesting overall.

It depends on the video, it does tend to be pretty costly though as most would be an average of a $100-200 flat rate.

the person cannot monetize the video. he will get a notification that 3rd party content has been matched, simply meaning that the publishers place ads on the video and the publisher will earn revenue from his video , he will be allowed to be partner but without monetize the video that he uploaded ...... if he have the rights he can monetize the video
