So I've always just posted gaming videos on my channel, mainly Tutorial videos. These have been extremely easy to tag, title, and in general metadata related things have had it good. eg a how to video on making something in minecrafts title is as simple as what it is, it's description just talks about it with heaps of key words, and tags are generally about it or about related how to videos for the game.
Anyway, we've started doing comedy and now I'm just thinking, how the hell does one tag comedy vids?
The title is the name of the series and then the topic of the video, eg: Jomie: Internet Slang
So that's easy enough, but the only tags I can think of include all your generic tags like "Comedy" "Sketch" "Humor" etc. then a few tags about the actual video like "Internet" "Slang" etc. however how do most of you comedy guys generally tag your videos?
Some thoughts I was thinking included just simply tagging the title of other related comedy videos, although I don't know how effective it is.
I even read an article about a form of tagging where you choose a few abstract tags no one else on YouTube uses, and use them for all your videos so that when someone watches one of your vids, the only related vids will be yours so that you won't "lose" your potential audience.
Idk though, what do most people out there do to get their comedy vids turning up on searches and alongside other videos?
