How do you measure channel success?

Rhinocat

Loving YTtalk
So we all have different size channels and goals, so I am very interested to know what you measure your success by?

I uploaded a video about 20 hours ago and I have 140 views already, with very little advertising as it was a quick video I did on the spur of the moment. So I have to have a huge to thanks to support from YT talk and my subscribers.

So tell me, how do you measure you success?

Well I get a lot more views than subs on all my vids, so I think its better for me to look at views for now.

Maybe but think about it. You could have lots of views that didn't like your content enough to sub. That's how I see it

good question... i guess i measure it by likes...before i would have to send it to a few friends to get my videos liked just so we can get 10 likes on a video ...now we get 14 or 15 likes easy with out me having to send it to anyone other the promoting it here in yttalk...so it's nice we have that many people enjoying our stuff

I would gauge it on 3 factors:

- Active subscribers: Because they are actively watching your channel it shows they enjoy the content
- Comments: The more you subscribers interact in the comments the more they actually care about the channel
- Rating: If your videos are more disliked than liked, then you have a problem.

People have told me my videos make them happy and put them in a better mood. Making someone happy and putting them in a better mood? Total success.

I have to say though, that's what makes my channel worth it no matter what. ULTIMATELY my channel will be a success when I can live off what I make from it. Even if it's a measly living, if I can survive through my videos, that's the full complete and ultimate total success.
