How do you make your Lets Plays?

I've Got It
So I have been going back in fourth in my head trying to figure out how to do lets play videos. I know what your thinking its simple just hit record on the software of your choice and play the f-ing game!

But I've seen a lot of LP related channels and I am just curious on what other prefer.

Do you like doing intros/outros for your videos like "hey this is so and so welcome to the video lets get right into it" and "thats it for this part, see you all in the next video".

Or intro/outros with those fancy graphics and what not.

Or do you just play the game recording for however long and edit them into parts?

I just want to know thoughts and opinions from a viewer standpoint, since I can't trust my own being as I like everything.

I do both intros and outros on my videos. Sometimes I don't because of long periods of recording but I do always have a end slate and my subscribers already know why i didn't do an outro and they see the continuation on the next video same on the intro. And about the recording time I just record for however I feel like. Sometimes I will record maybe just the amount I need for a 10 - 15 min video that is mostly like 30 mins of recording and then cut down :) So it all depends on what you would like to do on your videos but it always good to engage your viewers and saying thanks for watching, and a call of action that is to ask for them to subscribe fav yadda yadda XP

My personal process is thus:

A basic intro with a greeting along with my gamer name and my own quip to finish that.
I don't bother with fancy effects, mostly because I use Windows Movie Maker to edit to I'm unable to. But the software is fine for what I use it for. Plus it's free and one can never go wrong with free stuff.
My outro is equally as basic in just saying a simple, "Thanks so much for watching, if you enjoyed the video then hit that like button, and I'll see you all next time!!" I also include an ending theme just to add some uniqueness to it.

Video length for me depends on the game itself. Blockbuster and AAA titles, I general go an hour per episode. Smaller games will range from 10-30 minutes. I aim to keep my playlists under 20 videos as best as possible unless it's a massive RPG style game like Skyrim and Fallout.

And that's pretty much it. As for everything in between, my commentary is purely improvised and reaction based. Rarely do I plan on ever talking about something unless it deals with story details or silly things I've experienced personally in life.
My advice would be just practice recording different intros and outros and find what feel natural to you. I changed mine up to what I go with now from what I use to say at the beginning of my channel. It's all about trial and error.

Thanks guys for your input or anyone else who may reply, Its always great to hear what others do and the different recording styles we all may have!
