How do you go about getting a Youtube Play Button Reward?

hey everyone, since this is the forum for milestones, i figured this would be the best forum for me to post this question in.

If you pass a milestone of 100,000 subscribers for example, how do you go about getting a youtube play button?

does youtube contact you via email?
is there a link where you go to requeest a youtube play button award?
 
^^ What he said, they probably contact you and then ask for your address, if you live outside US, it could take a while :)

Not necessarily. Youtube has offices in England and Tokyo along with their Creator Places.
 
I hear people double (exaggerated) in subscribers before they receive play button reward. So it's either really slow or those channels gather subs like raspberries from bush.

Actually if you hit 100'000 subs and you go to your Dashboard in the YouTube My Channel settings/statistics you should see something mentioned about it in there where you can claim your reward :)

I know accounts who have hit 1 million subs before they got their silver play button so what you said isn't exaggerated at all, it takes a while to go out to most people! :p
 
That silver play button is all the hype. I know of quite a few YouTubers that recently got one. It means you are doing pretty darn well! But another is at 250k subscribers (or close to) and he hasn't gotten his yet. I guess it depends on the stock they got on hand or something.

I'd love to get my hands on something physical like that, but, I don't see it happening in the near future.
 
You don't get an email last I checked. You will get a notification in your creator dashboard with the details. So basically just keep checking that if you're expecting it. I got my notification some weeks after reaching 100k.
