How do you feel about Minecraft Videos?

I got Minecraft for myself at Christmas (lol lame) but am actually really enjoying it. How do you feel about Minecraft videos, and have you got any original ideas that would be fun?

Would be nice to make some friends tha would want to join me too :)

I feel like that part of video game market has been overdone to be honest and there's already a lot of big youtube channels that control it. That shouldn't stop you from making videos on the game if you want though! The biggest problem I've seen with Minecraft videos is there isn't a direction in most of them, give me a reason to watch your video, not just you wondering around doing nothing productive for 15 minutes. If you have a new mod show me what the new mod does, if you're making a tutorial edit the video to show me what is going on quicker, if you're messing around with friends then edit parts where something funny happens and such. Make sure that there's a purpose to your video, if you just want to mess around and play Minecraft then stream it instead.

No problem! I had a friend who had the same problem and was wondering why people weren't watching his Minecraft videos. When I took a look it was him basically just wondering around for a half an hour, not talking and doing nothing productive but exploring. He was upset when I told him nobody wants to watch that but it's the truth, you have to keep people entertained and engaged when it comes to Youtube. I would check out some other minecraft series and see what other channels are doing then start brainstorming for ideas that people would be interested in watching.
 
I actually like Minecraft videos.
I haven't really watched any in the last few years, but that's mostly because my favorite Minecraft YouTuber's have been inactive.

I also really love to play Minecraft. It's a ton of fun!
And my Minecraft videos are the most popular ones on my Norwegian channel. It's still as popular as it was like 3-4 years ago.
 
I enjoy Minecraft videos but only the one's that start bringing something new to the table, like playing new maps or newer mod packs that come out you know. I think my problem is that I have watched so many of the MC videos in the past that I lost interest because I see something new and It doesn't interest me at all because it has been done before. The only reason I watch Minecraft videos now is for the person behind the game. Just having a unique personality, I especially like the creatures minecraft videos since they are just a comedic bunch. The only thing I want back is Minecraft Machinima's! There's not enough of them.
 
I will give it a go and see what people comment. I like to listen to my audience. They actually asked me to get it, so why not. Thank you for your input, appreciate it :)

I actually think MC videos are the one's that do well since they haven't died down in popularity yet. Good luck on your videos tho :D
 
Well it's known that there certainly isn't any shortage of minecaraft videos lol, but personally I don't watch them regularly. However the ones I do watch just tend to be people showcasing mods or howto builds, I love seeing some of the creations people come up with and learning how to build them myself :) If you want to make minecraft videos, I say go for it.
