How do you deal with haters?

So I recently started my Lets Play channel. Until this point I have only gotten good Feedback, but I know that sooner and later I will get Haters. And I would like to know how you guys (and girls) deal with them. Do you delete their comments, answer, flag them? I am not sure how to react once I'm confronted to this problem.

Personally, I laugh it off/ignore it! I used to care so much about other peoples opinions... (So much so that I wasn't myself in public for years & had very little confidence because of it!) I changed my mindset about a year ago & just stopped caring what other people thought about me! (Much happier because of it, still a little shy but I'm working on that & doing YouTube is helping!) If somebody has something nice to say or even constructive criticism, I'll gladly read, pay attention & respond to it but if somebody is just hating for no reason, it really doesn't affect me at this point because I simply couldn't care less :)
 
Don't entertain ignorance. I suggest you ignore these people. The more success you have, the more hate you will get. They go hand in hand.

Ignore them. End. Of. Story. You don't even have to delete their comments if you don't want to.
 
I agree. Ignoring them is the best thing you can do. If they cause problems on your comments, then you can delete them or possibly ban them from your comments.

Step. 1 - Delete their comments and ban them from the channel. Yes it's that simple!

You never want to reply to their comments... EVER. Even if you have the wittiest retort ever. and you would be able to ''own them''. You don't want to do this because a lot of times in life it's not about how many friends you have, but how many enemies you have. Especially because enemies online can really screw you over

You also never want to go. Oh well I will just let this stay and ignore the comment. The reason is simple. Your viewers will come to your aid and defend you. But this will lead to flame wars in the comment section, and due to the way the google + top comment system works. Comments with a lot of replies become top comments... Which means that hate comments can and will go to the top if you don't just delete them.

Of course it is important to distinguish between straight out hate comments and trollish / critical comments. When in doubt just let the comment stay, but if the user turns out to be an ******* just ban him / her right away.

Regarding trolls I actually think they can be very funny. I have a lot of Le Reddit Armie trolls on my channel and I think they are hilarious so I let those comments stay :)

Lastly. A lot of users have told you to just delete comments. I find it much better to straight out ban them from the channel. The ban system has worked wonders for me, and I have not had a single ''OMFG U BAN ME SO I CREATE NEW ACCOUNT TO TROLL U'' situation occur... Ever... And I probably ban a person from my channel every day :)

If there is the tiniest shred of constructive feedback to be found, I will try to find it and see if I can use it to improve videos. Outright hate is just ignored.
 
It's very easy, what you do is just straight up, ignore them, remove their comment, and ban them from your channel, it's as easy as that, you don't ever want to give them your attention, then they'll keep doing it. :)
 
I've given them attention and they give up after a couple of strange responses from me. When you act like the weirdest person in the discussion, people back off in a hurry! :P
