how do you create and add a subscribe now button

how do you create a subscribe now icon to appear on top your vids like so many people have and how do you put it there as I know nothing of these things

That requires you to be partnered. However if you are talking about the little yellow or red bars you see in videos, that is done with something called annotations. You can add those to your video in your video manager section.

Are you a full youtube partner, or just one of the "partners" that is allowed to monetize videos? I am only the monetize kind, and that option is not available for us. If you are a full partner, you are probably with a network or one of the lucky Cinderella channels that youtube has placed the glass slipper on. If so, I can't help with that, as I am not there yet. However, I am certain that someone here will know.

Hey..

I emailed YouTube directly about that.

There is no such thing as full partners before. YouTube said as of about 6 months ago everyone is considered full partner. If you were not full partner before this change then apparently you have to wait until YouTube rolls out that change for you. Other changes include a banner (which I don't have yet) and custom thumbnails (which I do).

I am just a monetise partner.
I just noticed on other vids that people have a shiny banner button saying something like "subscribe now" or "make our dreams come true" or something others have a colourful arrow pointing at the subscribe button above the video. I wanted something like that but cannot find anywhere on the backend where I can input that little icon.

You need to be a "full" partner to get all the branding features on youtube.

That's called "Watch page channel icon", you need to be full partner to get it.

Again, from YouTube's mouth not mine, there is no such thing as full partner anymore, everyone is the same partner (unless associated with someone outside of YouTube). For people signing onto partnership after the date that YouTube abolished the whole 'full partner' thing, you have to wait patiently as they roll out these features over time!
