How do people make Great Money on YT ?

How is it that some people Make Great Money on youtube ? have Many Subscribers do you have to have before your Channel can be Monetized ? I know some people that have like 1000 subs and Makes better money then someone who has 10000 subs ... Does it have to do with People Videos Going Viral , and getting Big hits ??
 
LOLz I've small channel and yet I'm monetizing my videos!
Youtube has made restrictions on not approving monetization to some youtubers maybe bcz there content is not appealing!
But anyway I'm monetizing my videos and trust me I earned only few bucks, to get more cash we need to have huge audience :D

Yeah i completely understand , many many sub .. but i guess its all very hard work and takes alot of time and patients to do so !! some people think its an easy job if they do it as a full time job , but it dont look like it to me .. thanks !!!
 
who has 1000 subs that makes more money than 10000, did you have some examples? I was just curious
 
I'm still in the under a dollar range, but I've only been doing uploads for about 6 weeks (New Year's resolution/project!) When I get out on social media and promote the heck out of myself (eeewwwww) I find that those few cents (and subscribers!) goes up significantly in number! Just keep trucking bro. If you want overnight success, you're going to have to buy it.
 
You don't need subscribers to get money.
All you need is views, and people clicking on ads on your videos.
 
Well monetized views are what your profits are based off of, so you could have 1,000 subs and get very high view counts, while the person with 10,000 subs is not putting out as many videos or getting as many views per video, for whatever reason that is
 
One word: Sponsorships!

To get a chance of a sponsorship, you have to have to have:
1. A good sized subscriber base, 400 is my minimum but an active audience is better.
2. Consistent views and good retention.

But that's just me!

That's more like a country issue rather than content. It is written in channel settings under monetization option that "your country is not eligible for monetization".

hahaha dude maybe there is some kind of mistake with youtube. i have two channels, the current channel Im monetizing, and the other channel, youtube is saying ITS NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY LOLzzz
