Adobe After effects and Sony vegas pro 12, they would both do the job.
I would recommend spending a lot of time watching tutorial videos if you want to make your own unique one, which in the case might not even look good if you are not familiar with graphic design and your software.
Or you can always search "AE intro template free" on Google.. Its a plugin.
It wont be a unique intro since its a template and other people use it, but at least it will look professional and you can put your name in it.

I also recommend using After Effects, it's a great program and there are many tutorials available on YouTube. For advice, I'd keep the intro around 3-5 seconds and have it appear around the 15-20 second mark of your video! Good luck!

Well i would definitely go with what the other people have said, as that's the way to go if you want a crazy looking one!
but .. there is always another way.
first of, i recommend go check out my outro, which is my channel trailer. it's not to promote my own channel or anything, but it's an example of what i was able to accomplish, with a bit of creative work, and plugin research.
what i did was, i found a picture with the vault boy, which i like to use as a "mascot" for my channel, or just have him shown around the place. then i figured out that i wanted to have some kind of place that would show links to my other videos, and what else people should check out. that i managed by finding a plugin for my video editing program (cyberlink powerdirector 11), which i then customized a bit to fit my needs. then i added a cool and fun little talking bubble to the vault boy, just to add a bit more fun and some more customization to the outro.
this is how i made mine, and how you could make yours if you don't have the resources to get your hands on After Effects, or the needed skill set to make a unique 3d animated outro
