How do I get THIS text effect on my videos?

Hi. New here. Was a lurker but I joined now. Hooah!

Now, I watch Inside Gaming and well I see this effect on many videos...even the damn news. But I just...don't...know...where to even begin to add it to my videos when I start posting (Haven't begun posting to youtube yet. Im a...work in progress. Lmao) What I'm talking about is this:

I'm talking about the text at the bottom right. (Was going to post a video link. Apparently I can't) Basically the text pops in and out of the video at different intervals giving some info and then popping off. It looks sweet & gives the vids a professional look.
Just what software do I need for that? Any Youtube tutorials and stuff I can be linked to? Can it be done in Vegas? (I got Pro 11 couple days ago. Still learning the ropes.)

Another popular example would be how Ign videos post the commentators name at the bottom left of the screen for a brief moment and it fades out like this:

I'm sure they're some other people who like to know aswell :)
I don't even really want to know to do it at that level yet. Its probably difficult. Simply being able to do it with some black & white text would be cool. Lmao. But hey, if its easy to do. I'm down.

So ladies and gents. Just how the hell can I begin to learn to do that stuff!

That's called a lower third. You can buy a pack of them to use in adobe after effects. I don't particularly know how to make them. If you look around the Internet, I'm sure you can find some for free.

Are you talking about the InVideo Programming?
I dont think he is

I would do that by using photoshop and after effects, And i would make the elements look all fancy in photoshop, If you want the pieces to move individually save them as parts, Import them into adobe after effects and then animate them popping up, Then I would make a template with blank text so that you can use it on all your videos.

Make sure your colours on that work with the colours you will use on your own channel. You want to get a brand going from the start if you can. See what effects you have in Vegas, and try to make do with that, Adobe After Effects is usually used for some more advanced lower thirds. But work with what you have got and im sure you will do a good job!

Hey and welcome ;) Would be nice if you would make a little introduction in the "Introduce Yourself" section ;)

First off, what kind of video editting software do you use? :)

Vigor2001 has tutorials on a bunch of programs. If you watch my timelapsed Super Moon video, I did a clear moving text effect that I learned on his channel with Cyberlink Powerdirector 11. He does Vegas and Premiere video tutorials as well.

It's called a bumper :) Some editors have automatic presets for them such as camtasia, for more customization you can design and keyframe it in which can be accomplished on editors such as sony vegas
