How do I get more subscribers ?

Heyho! I have a skill learning channel, where me (a young super motivated woman) learns new skills every week. Some inspiring and entertaining videos to share my excitement to learn new stuff. I love making those video, but I don't have many subscribers on my channel Ireen Myself. How can I grow, and how long does it take ? Experiences ?
Thanks a lot !

1. You get subscribers by providing quality content. You would need good thumbnails and SEO to be searchable. (It is heavily discussed how important SEO is. Some people believe it has little impact on succes, other swear by it as a higher being.

2. Too many variables. Explosive growers needs to be very clickbaty and charismatic (or childish). No one can tell you this. Don't ever compare your growth with others. Just try and improve.

I'd also encourage you to promote your videos on social media and message boards. Don't just spam it everywhere but be selective and use your existing networks to help get your videos some views. I don't know if that helps the algorithm but I feel like it does.

BTW I looked at your channel and your thumbnails look great!

The truth is collaboration is THE way to grow your channel. Nothing else comes close. Unfortunately, big YouTubers rarely collaborate with small YouTubers. Fortunately, YouTubers who have around the same number of subscribers as you do are the ones most likely to be willing to collaborate with you. So search for YouTubers who are doing what you're doing, subscribe to all their channels, be an active viewer (leave comments on EVERY video of their you watch), and then come up with a great FUN idea for a collaboration and pitch it to those who have around as many subscribers as you do. Pitch it also to your niche's big YouTubers but don't hold your breath that they'll bite. They might and that will be GREAT! Just don't expect them to UNTIL you're as big as they are.

And don't stop with the above. Fish in other ponds. In fact, given your channel's shtick, you should have an easy time pitching collaborations to other YouTubers in other niches. Have them teach you their skill! :)

Always ... ALWAYS make two-part collaborations. Part One goes on the bigger of the two channels and, at its end, links to Part Two. Beginning of Part Two links to and encourages the viewing of Part One.

Welcome to the forum. Something that would help is = putting channel link under name(age) as seen under mine to the LEFT of this msg - read my signature on HOW TO below this msg. As for growing, it will likely take years.

I'm teaming up with Rhody on this one. You will hear a lot of suggestions based on the YT algorithm (thumbnails, SEO, consistency etc etc). My philosophy is "don't put all your eggs in one basket". Yes, SEO and thumbnails are important, so is consistency, BUT you will most likely not grow solely depending on the YT algorithm. Take responsibility for yourself to drive relevant traffic to your channel and you will start to see progress. As Rhody says - use common sense and post on forums, social media and other ways you come up with (and share it here of course! ;) )

My personal experience after 4 months of actively trying to grow, is that the YT algorithm stands for roughly 5-10 of my subscribers, while the rest 100 are coming from the channels I'm using to drive traffic. Right now - mostly Instagram. Although I'm trying TikTok as well (but being an elderly male is kinda not working to my advantage on that platform, ha ha!)

In my humble opinion, I'd also consider choosing one language for your videos and also invest in a microphone! Other then that, your content looks great! Like the idea!

Good luck!

How? I am going to be blunt.

3. Boobs.
2. Falling into a high view niche, like unboxing, reaction videos and doing them well.
1. Money. pour enough money into it, eventually it would pay off with marketing and advertising. This would be the best way to gain subscribers, but the amount of money is usually ridiculous.

Backing or Collaboration. Mr. Decker put it very well. If you can get backing from other channels / companies, or collaborate with them, it would be a significant boast to your channel, if not subscribers just raw exposure too.

Unfortunately, IMO, this is one of the worst times to get into Youtube because of how poorly they regulate their algorithms, how they change things without telling people and the fact, they really only want big channels to succeed. When bigger "SAFE" channels succeed, so does Youtube in advertising revenue and longevity. Can't blame them for that notion, just how they go about it is poor at best.

Yup. A little bitter, but I also don't want people to spend a ton of time, effort and get nothing in return.

My dead horse I beat: Do this for YOU. Enjoy it, challenge yourself and don't sub watch.
