How do I fix my video quality?

How can i get HD quality on my gaming videos? I noticed that my video quality is pretty low, even though it says it's HD or 1080p... but it feels like 360p >< I edit my videos on Sony Vegas Pro 12. I even tried to upload not-edited video directly from my fraps folder, but I still got same bad quality.

You have to make sure that Vegas is rendering in 1080 also make sure fraps is recording the footage in 1080 or whatever resolution it is you are trying to accomplish!

The raw file has to be around the same resolution you wish to render at, otherwise it's going to be stretching out the pixels once you render. Making everything seem much less crisp in terms of image quality.
