How do I edit my Youtube video and keep my original link?

Hi,

I am a complete newbie, so please bear with me.

I uploaded a video to Youtube, and then sent the link to about 30 of my friends and relatives. But now I would like to delete a small section of my video. The problem is that I don't want to lose the link that I have already sent out.

Is it possible to overwrite my video and keep the same link?

I can crop the video on my computer and upload it again, but I don't think that I would have the same link.

Is it possible to crop the video using the Youtube video editor? I see that you can crop the ends of a video, but I don't see anything about cropping anything that is not on the ends.

Any help that you can give me on this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You can only crop the beginning or end of the video with the YouTube video editor. Other than that, you got to do it via your video editor program, and re-upload the video, thus creating a new url. There is no other way to keep the same video url.

Thanks for the information!

I would like to ask another question if I may.

After I uploaded this video, I clicked on the enhancement tab, and clicked on the Fill Light tab and set it to +3. Well this worked fine, except for one little 20 second section where the light is too bright. Is it possible to change the setting for this 20 second section only, back to 0?

Thanks!

Don't use the Youtube video editor and the enhance option, most of the time they don't work, if you don't like a video, edit it is a video editor program like Windows Movie Maker.
