Basically, I'm requesting feedback on two different types of videos I do, the reviews, and the covers.
First, the reviews, I have a couple out, like this one:
But I found that one turned out a bit too short, even though I covered all the same stuff as my 6 minute Paper Mario review, which follows this format of things to go over:
Gameplay
Graphics
Story
Sound
Final Score
Is there anything else I should add in there? And for story, should I change how I do it? For story I've been keeping it mostly spoiler free, and that doesn't really give me a lot to talk about, should I change it so I review the whole story and put a spoiler warning with it?
And for the sound in the background, should I have some? Originally my plan was to leave gameplay sound in the video, but low, then I found out just how hard it was to find the gameplay footage I wanted without commentary, so I found it easier to just take those and mute them, leaving only my review audio.
---
And for my music covers, I have a couple, like this:
Basically the way I do it is only recording the instrument I'm using to cover it, and only recording it as I actually play it. Some people who do covers have the song playing along with them in their videos, but sometimes I feel that kind of defeats the purpose, as you can't really isolate the cover from the song itself, but should I change that?
Also, I've been recording the songs as I play them, so they aren't anywhere near perfect, should I instead try to heavily edit it to be as good and accurate as possible? It kind of feels like that would be lying about my playing ability, but it would sound better for sure.
