HooplaKidz Tv and YoBoHo Family Entertainment?

Hi all,

I've got a kids channel that's (finally) doing okay & I've just been offered a content partnership with HooplaKidz Tv.

I've done a little research & found out that YoBoHo Family Entertainment owns & operates HooplaKidz & that BroadbandTV acquired YoBoHo about a year ago, but that's as much as I know.

Does anyone on here have a content partnership with HooplaKidz Tv or had any dealings with them?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Fuzzy.

The contracts they offer by default don't tend to be great so if you like them as a network, definitely negotiate on the details.
If your channel is larger you could probably get a sign-on bonus and 95-100% of YouTube revenue.

I'm not sure if my channel is large enough? It took off beginning of January & since then I've got about 8,000 subscribers & now I'm getting about 90 subs / 100,000 views a day. Do you think that'll give me enough clout to negotiate?

100k a day is decent. BBTV offered me a 95/5 on a channel that gets less than 70k a day.

It really depends how they're going to help your channel, though. It's pointless to sign with a network just for the sake of being with one if it's not going to benefit you in any way, even if they're only taking a small portion of revenue. They offered me an intense SEO training course, and they promised to put me in ad sales once I reached a certain monthly view threshold. Try and ask about a signing bonus, BBTV are known to give people good bonuses.

I've worked with very few kids channels, so I'd like to ask if you don't mind answering. What sort of CPM does your channel generally get? I assume the vast majority of your views are mobile, and a lot of your traffic would be coming from young kids.

It's young kids, but they must be using their parents accounts because my stats say it's mostly 25 to 34 year olds, altho when you look at the comments, it's definitely kids. As for devices, it's pretty evenly split between mobile & tablet.[DOUBLEPOST=1459857051,1459856570][/DOUBLEPOST]

If you don't mind, can you explain what `being put in ad sales' means Ryan?

Ad sales are custom ad deals with advertisers which can typically yield a higher CPM.

Hmm, now that might persuade me to go with BBTV .. Trouble is my views have drastically dropped in the last 4 weeks & I'm now getting about the same daily average as you. What's their` certain monthly view threshold' if you don't mind me asking?

Don't know, ask them.

BBTV contacts me every month for the past 3 years. I did a lot of homework before and I assume, nothing has changed. I have had meetings and they don't listen to you. They keep repeating the same rhetoric.

Now, I get contacted weekly by Hooplakidz. New name, same garbage.06.jpg

Did they offer you any substantial signing bonus?
