Holy shmoley...Fraps settings optimized.

Guys and gals, if you already know this I apologize. I just figured something out that improved my performance capturing with FRAPS soooo much that I have to share.

Turn "loop buffer length" to "0 (zero)"...... Let me explain to you what that is for. It allows you to not record and still capture video when you want to. For example. I am not recording...then something amazing happens. All I have to do is hold the designated key in to record say "30 seconds" before I pressed the button. So in essence I still caught what happened.

That's all fine and well but what if you don't ever use that feature? Well turn it off or set it to zero! It improved my performance by easily 10-15 frames and the framerate stabilized at a specific number.

As a quick aside. I understand that it is possible that this improvement could be something localized to my system. I'm not sure. If this even helps one of you then it was still worth it. :) Have a great night everyone.

:O. I didnt even know Fraps could do that. I think the Elgato capture card does something similair.
