I've Got It
Hello, so recently I've moved from my mac to a new pc and i cant seem to figure out how to record Skype audio and merge it into the same channel as my microphone to use as an input for my elgato game cap. Any help? Im looking to be able to record both my microphone and Skype audio as one audio channel in sync and (wish doesn't have to as i can just record it as a possibility) be able to use it as an input for microphone on my elgato game capture.

Thanks in advance

You can't record PC audio with an elgato, you will have to record the Skype audio separately using PC software then edit it together with your microphone audio afterwards.

If you are recording the PC with Elgato and you are getting sound from the other end.
Go into your microphone settings and press playback.
Remember to wear headphones or else the frequencies go out of wack.

Apologies, my answer was related to console recording. It is possible if you are recording PC.

I know you can do it, and via console you've got to be in a party (xbox) but i dislike doing this as bad audio quality follows.

If you are recording the PC with Elgato and you are getting sound from the other end.

Not sure i know what you mean here? Do you mean like the echo if i havent muted the audio playback whilst recording?

I use Audacity to record whatever sound is coming out of my speakers. It's a free programme and always handy!
