Dracula's hobbit
Has anyone tried HitFilm Ultimate 2? It seems to be an After Effects wannabe software that promises awesome video editing and cutting-edge special effects.

Watching the preview video tempts me to get it since I 3d animate. Would be a neat thing to do. Before making such an investment into that kinda software, I usually search out any other competing software... just to make sure I get the best deal. Of course any software you buy is going to require you to learn and develop a skill in that software. Haven't used the one you have there, but it looks promising to me.
 
I do have it, it's such an awesome piece of software - i actually prefer it over After Effects, though i stopped using it because it needed a good god damn pc to even move the position in a timeline - and i really have a beast of a pc, so it really needs a monster x10 to run properly. Though it's a good editor.
 
Good, but it's probably better to go with something already known to be good
 
From what I have heard it's supposed to be a little easier than After Effects. I cannot say if that's true for sure, but I do know it costs a lot less and some of what the program can do is (to me at least) After Effects quality.
