High quality, bright & colourful thumbnails!

So obviously I know all the basics of making an eye catching thumbnail, like turn up the saturation & hue, and use big bold text. Does any one have any not generic tips on making eye catching thumbnails? Thanks

yep! when making it make sure you zoom out lots so you can see what it will look like a thumbnail size. ! Search your video competition and see what works best for others. Thats a good plan right there! Don't make s*&t thumbnails.. try another if no success.. and erm. Make sure you have a good title too! Make sure title and thumbnail match. tired now going peeps
 
just want to tell my personal experience with this. As I'm on PhotoShop to prepare the thumbnail, I'm coming up with these really interesting, aesthetically original ideas... but what's I stop looking at it in PS and look at it in the thumbnail Video Editor section, there's just not enough brightness. You know for sure people want color, brightness and will click the videos that have those most often, and this is my own account.
