Help with making my videos look better?

Hello,
I've been on YouTube for awhile, but I feel like my videos never live up to the awesomeness of other famous YouTubers. Perhaps its because I don't have a Canon7d or anything.
I have a Canon HF M41 camcorder, and edit with Adobe Premiere Elements 8.
ANY advice would be appreciated!

Thanks, guys!
ALSO, subscribe? :) :)

Heya, my main advice would be to edit in some background music to your videos, you can download loads of different tracks for free :)

The only other differences between your videos and famous YouTubers is that they all seem to use the canon 60d and have special lighting set up lol! Your videos are good as they are though, keep it up! :D :)

Thank you so much for the feedback!! :)

I just watched your Wrecking Ball video - why do you both not look into the camera at all. Worse still, you both look in opposite directions throughout the entire video? Looks a little strange!

Nevertheless, I dont think your necessarily doing anything wrong in general with other videos. Try to think of unique topics, stuff thats not covered as much on YouTube. Be different. Be yourself. Its not all about recording equipment, its the content ;)

I also noticed this, kinda made watching you awkward, even though both your voices were fantastic.

Also like I've told a bunch of youtubers, take a look at popular videos and do your own version because people may see them. For example look at the Jenna marbles videos and see if you can do your own version.

For my channel, I'm basing it on the them from the old show 'You can't od that on television' and the slime scenes. For my channel just look up 'slimed' and you will see my 40 videos or so. I'm closing in on 300,000 channel views which apparently is pretty good for a new channel.

With a saturated gaming community this is about the only thing you can do. All the videos have pretty much been done.

Agreed. I think people are looking for creative stuff. I don't actually play video games as I find them boring, but are people allowed to monetize those videos?

It is all about the content. Go look at some of my Vlogs, I use a webcam and a USB microphone and have taken NO effort to make the backdrop better :) people still watch those videos and post comments. Just make sure you can be both seen and heard, and make sure the audio comes out of both speakers. I personally avoid background music as its distracting (to me).
