Anybody know how to work Adobe Premiere Elements 11 or Adobe Premiere Pro cs5.5?

I checked countless editing TUTs on Youtube but they don't explain how to edit the MIDDLE of your video. They always trim the video from the beginning or the end. What if I want to start at the beginning and then trim the middle? Is that even possible? I never thought something so simple would be so hard to do. I use CyberLink but it's acting up and was looking at the Adobe trials. Any help?

I should imagine you just cut out whatever you need to from the middle and then just select all items from the middle onward and just drag it until there are no gaps

Premiere has a "razor" button that allows you to cut footage anywhere. YOu can cut the middle out if you want, set up faders etc. It's just as easy as cutting the beginning or end, you just have to cut twice.

BIG HELP. Thank you. Any way you can use the markers to automatically cut using the razor tool instead of just dragging it to the spot?[DOUBLEPOST=1379525253,1379525210][/DOUBLEPOST]

Those are two separate features. The markers are known as "key frames". A key frame is a point on the timeline where you want something to change. So for example, you set two markers about 3 seconds apart on the video part of the timeline, drag one down to zero and the video will fade out over those 3 seconds.

Cutting physically removes a section of video which is ideal for making your workspace more easily usable. If you only use 2 or 3 video tracks you won't notice a difference, but when you get into videos involving 10-20 different videos, cutting becomes more valuable than just fading from one to the next.

Using the razor to cut is just as simple as clicking on the place you want to cut it at. You can get better precision by zooming in (+/- keys) on the timeline.
