Help on making a channel trailer?

So I'm currently working on making a channel trailer for my channel, but I'm not too sure what to include in it. Do I put clips of some videos I've already posted, or do I make it all brand-new content? Do I make it descriptive of my channel or should I go for a dumber, just-for-laughs video?

My old channel trailer (Which I don't use any more) Was clips from my videos with a voice recording of me talking about it what I do. I need to find time to make a new one. But I would put clips from your videos. Also go look at other peoples channel trailers for inspiration, trust me it will help :)
 
My trailer is made out of just clips from previous videos, but I believe that is totally up to you. I think you should just keep it simple and short (less than a minute), and try to make people want to see more of your videos. You could also make a descriptive video and combine funny clips of yours into that.
 
Do it like your videos because you don't want to mis-interpret your channel - we are daily vloggers so ours would be clips from our vlogs i guess. Its hard because being unique helps but coming up with ideas is so hard!
 
From what advice I have got, I would add different parts from your other videos and put them all together. With your voice talking over it saying basically what your channel, what videos are coming soon etc.
