Help! No room left on macbook!

So I must be doing something seriously wrong.

To edit I use iMovies then export then use Final Cut Pro x to add some effects then export my final video, upload to YouTube, then save that final video to my external hard drive.

I then delete all videos and files/events etc off my macbook and empty my trash so my MacBook should be completely free of videos and video files. I even researched and discovered to delete old 'render files' off final cut which helped a bit but...

Here's the problem I must be doing something wrong as when I'm simply trying to import a new video to edit from my camera memory card or from my external hardrive my MacBook says it can't as its full.

When I look up my memory of my MacBook it says it's full of apps mainly and video files but I haven't downloaded any apps! And deleted all ur video files so I thought!

Where are these hidden video files I need to delete

I feel like crying I'm so stressed trying to do this and I'm really tired not sleeping and I just want to make good videos and don't want to let my subscribers down

I've used WinDirStat but not the other 1 since I don't use Mac.

I'm worried to use it incase it gives a virus?

I downloaded it and scanned it but I can't use it on Windows. You can hop on Google and search for something but that's what I found when I searched for something similar to WinDirStat. Macs usually don't get viruses either and if you're running an anti virus you should be fine.

Try using CCleaner to clean up your cache I have it on my mac. Also have you remove your rejected videos? from both Final Cut and Imovie?

I'm not sure? How do I do that?

Is there a way I can manually clean my cache?

Guys I've sorted it [emoji4][emoji4] if anyone's having this problem in the future all you do is:

-go to finder
-search 'movie'
- in search results the 'imovie folder' should come up
-drag te imovie folder to the trash and empty trash

It's deleted all the files and my hard drives space is loads now yay
