Help for mic

I got a snowball mic and it doesnt seem to work (and no its not my cable upside down)
is it cause i have windows 7 ? please help! my computer is a Dell inspiron

I think we need a bit more information. Did you go into your sound settings and change input to the mic?

You need to provide some more information.
What are your audio settings on your computer? What is the volume dialed in at on the mic? What are you using the mic for and what are the audio settings on that program you are using it for?
