Hello, i own youtube channels where i am uploading original videos made by me
and running adsense on them.

But for about 2 weeks now, i have be observing a drastic drop in my youtube views and earning
across all my channels despite the fact that i am uploading videos everyday. But i was thinking it
might due season.

But not anymore. Because 3 days ago i uploaded a video which did 38,178 views and $2.59 in
earning, this is ridiculous. Though of the total 38,178, (36,904) was from a high traffic USA website.

The video in question is 4.56 duration and according to youtube analytics, the USA website traffic
did these with video(Views: 36,904 (100%), Estimated minutes watched: 92,513 (100%),
Average view duration: 2:30).

Please what is really happening? My concern is that with 38,178 views, i should at worst make
between $10 - $20.

I here-in attached some screenshots taken from youtube analytics for further understanding.

Thanks.

I think the problem is that most of the views were gained through "External". This can mean the video was embed on an app or site which can block ads. Now I'm not a expert, but I think that is the problem.

Isn't it normal?
If we remove the views from the website, we get about 2000 views.
and 2000 views are approximately 2 dollars, just what you earned.
So wut am i missing here? D:

This is what you are missing, the total views for this particular video is 38,178 on (8/7/2015).

So out of this 38,178, the 36,904 views are from an external USA website.

So going by my previous youtube analytics CPM and earning, with the total views
of 38,178 i should at least earn $10 - $20.

Yes the external source is an English based website because i saw it in youtube analytics.

My video was embedded on the website and according to YT analytics, out of total views of 38,178, the website
solely sent 36,904.

And no the site did not block advert because i visited the site and play my video there which shows a banner
advert of 45 seconds at the bottom of my video.

Those banner ads require people to click on them for you to get any money (if I recall correctly) and usually embedded videos don't have video ads (forgot the technical name).

Afaik videos shown on the Youtube site earn a lot more revenue than when viewed on an external website. Also, I haven't noticed any drops in revenue myself.

It's possible that those people have Ad Block extensions in their browsers. Especially if that particular external site is ad-heavy.
