Hello from the other side ...

Hi there,

I am Finchen and I just registered here, after quite a while of struggling.
I don't have a youtube channel, so I might be wrong here. But I have a question about youtubers and I hope you guys and gals are kind enough to help me out.

I work for a game. Not a large one, not EA, Minecraft or anything else, just an independent game studio with a lot of passion and a very small team.
Recently we got covered by one of the "bigger guys" on youtube. It was amazing! Not only that we found a lot new players for our game, it also turned out that his audience is one of the nicest I ever met.

So there is my question: If someone like me would message you, what would you expect?
Would be some cool in-game stuff enough for you to make a video about the game? Do you expect a fixed payment or cost-per-lead? Would you even consider it or are you tied to your network contracts?

Please help me finding out!
Cheers :)

unfortunately exactly the opposite happened :(
No one answered to my question and also not a single PM
Don't be disheartened :) some people (like me) are too small to provide you decent investment so they won't answer. Someone bigger will message soon :bounce:

I have a couple of smaller channels (8k/17k) so my mileage may vary from the larger guys but the four most common messages I get are as follows.

In no particular order...

Please make a video of our game and we will...
1. give you in game resources to help you.
2. pay you x amount of dollars up front regardless of results
3. give you a personalized link that will track downloads and we will pay you x amount per download.
4. say thank you for helping us get our game additional exposure
