Headset/Microphone Recommendations?

Are there any headsets that produce sound quality for commentaries close to that of high quality microphones? I bought a Logitech G430 headset, but it's terrible in terms of recording audio, it basically acts like a microphone because you need to keep a hand on it and constantly twist the microphone part to be directly in front of your face to be able to pick up anything you're saying, and then the quality is terrible because the microphone picks up the sound of your breath just as much as the sound of your voice.

Right now I just record audio with the laptop's microphone, and nobody has said anything because nobody watches my videos anyway really, but I know the audio is a bit bad on that (it picks up the sound of the laptop running, for one thing), so I would want a headset that actually works decent for recording.

And I would also be interested in a microphone a bit later, for times when I'm recording different things, such as non-live commentaries and things I may think of later. I've seen a few recommendations for some microphones elsewhere, but I wouldn't mind getting additional recommendations here to be more certain.

If you can leave a recommendation with a video that's an example of the quality you get from it, that would be great. For either the microphone, the headset, or both.

Turtle Beach!

My bad, as it turns out, the headset issue must have been my problem, not an issue with the headset. I thought the USB thing you plugged it into was optional and wasn't using it, and it seemed to be fine for using them as headphones, but it didn't work with the microphone at all.

I think I'll record something trying the headset now and see if I can get reviews on the sound quality. I will still look for a microphone though.

Ok man I had the same problem not too long ago, also my sound was very distorted because I had my computer plugged into an extension cable, ill check out your channel man :)

Got part 46 up, posted it in a few other places trying to get feedback, but it doesn't look like I will in either of those, so I'll try posting it here in desperation.

And to compare, I'll put part 45 with the old microphone, I really don't know which one is better to stick with, they both have their ups and downs.

Okay, so links aren't allowed in this section, so they aren't there, but you know what I mean. I guess I couldn't really get recommendations in this section because of that anyway. So if I wanted to look for proper microphone recommendations I would need to look for them in an irrelevant section.

The short answer is no, no headset will ever have the audio quality of a dedicated high quality microphone.
