Headset Advice

I Miss Kinky I

Hello all,

There are so many headsets out there on the market for the xbox360 that i thought i would ask the community for their feedback.

I usually use my Turtle Beach X41's but alas after 3 yrs they have finally given up on me and i need to replace them.
The price of the new headset is not an issue, as i would prefer to pay more for something that will last.

However i have heard that the price of them doesn't always mean better quality and that is where you come in.
What headset would you recommend?

I need something lightweight, but also with good sound quality, i game for fun but also competitive so the sound needs to be pretty decent and obviously the mic too.
I also do commentaries on you tube so it would be good if the headset was versatile and can be used for Xbox and PC i know this may not be possible. Plus its not essential as i have a Blue Snowball Mic for recording with.
If you could recommend anything i would be grateful
Cheers

turtle beaches x12's i think are the ones i use there pretty freaking awesome, and not too expensive

Buy two things. Headphones, and a microphone.

Headsets while they may have good playback quality never really have good mics.

So if price is not really an issue, I'd suggest a set of Closed Back Sennheiser or AKG headphones. Somewhere in the $100-$200 range will suit your needs. And then get a condenser mic like the Blue Yeti.

Playback and recording will be vastly superior to any headset you will find.

Thank you all for the advice it was appreciated. i decided to buy the Turtle Beach Px5 in the end mainly due to them being wireless and having 2 dogs they were more practical than having wires everywhere. I have had them a few days now and absolutely love them, i would definitely recommend them
