Thanks for watching & Subbing :) Part 2 will be released, extending on this tutorial with a few more techniques that are applied to enhance and clean the result further - especially useful for more complicated images.

Yeah I thought about putting this in graphics and design, and it can work with a range of images, but especially with gaming images. I might ask for it to be moved if it can help more people out in that forum.
 
I actually used your tips for my latest video & it's the best thumbnail I have done yet.
I think the stroke layer option is what really gives it the presence!
