HD Video Recording with Canon after taking Pictures

Hey everyone

Hopefully there are some people around here who can help me.
So of course I film on a Canon DSLR 600D camera and it is amazing.
However when I shoot pictures I constantly change settings like aperture, shutter speed, ISO.
I want to know if those settings that I changed on picture mode will reflect onto the movie option and portray when I am filming.

Cheers!

You can adjust ISO, aperture and shutter speed just as you do when taking pictures but you will need to be careful with your shutter speed when doing video, you will want it to be either 50 or 60 depending on the fps setting you choose, if you record at 25fps or 24fps then choose 50 and 60 if you record at 30fps. For video I normally have mine set to 1920x1080 at 25fps. Best thing you can do is put it in video mode and adjust away to your liking but keep the shutter speed in mind and your ISO fairly low.

hey Michael!

Ok great, thanks a lot. Im still learning a lot about this camera and its pretty amazing.

No problem, its a great camera, I have a 650D which is rather similar in specs and love it. If youre taking photos in manual mode and messing with the settings and practising you will have the video side of it down in no time.

There are such small differences between cameras but apparently the recording process is all the same. Up until the higher versions
